Message: Dear Family Tesch, Thank you so much again for the most wonderful experience my American mom BJ and I had at your beautiful ranch! As I'm not a native speaker I have a hard time expressing in proper words how impressed I was and how happy I have been! It was simply AWESOME :-)

For me the 2 days (too short, I know...) at the TRR were a dream come true... Being a passionate Western rider since 1995 I always dreamt of riding in a place where I would feel utter freedom and indulge in the beauty of unspoilt nature. This is what I experienced at TRR!

Also, the horses were wonderful (I really loved "my" Apache!!!), we discovered each time a different trail (all of them were amazingly beautiful!), the Wranglers were very nice and responsible and the groups were not too big. I think it's great that you and your team really try to find the matching horse for each guest and that you put groups together who have the same level of riding.

But most of all: what makes TRR really unique is the special ambience! You can feel that your family and your staff are dedicated to their guests and that you and your team take care of the ranch, the horses and the guestes with all of your heart! I will definitely recommend TRR to all of my friends and contacts - and sure come back again as soon as possible :-)

Message: When we asked our daughter Summer (7) If she would like to go to DisneyLand or Tarryall River Ranch for a family vacation her answer did not surprise us! Tarryall, Tarryall please, I love that place, was her response.
We have been fortunate to have visited Tarryall River Ranch twice with my Husbands Company.

I can not thank them enough for these wonderful memories they have given us!
If it was not for them we would never have known about Tarryall and probably would do the typicall Disney Trip every few years. We just got home and are already planning a day trip up there to ride and talking about returning in the next couple of years for a full week.

The people at Tarryall are truly AMAZING! They are so genuine and make everyone feel part of the family. And like everyone else has said time and time again the food is Outstanding, Thank you Bridget and staff!!! Also The Wranglers are wonderful and make your ride so much fun. (Lizard Rock) was amazing!

And for the kids the play area alone can keep the kiddos busy for hours!
But they also have great leaders for the kids and keep them busy with rides and crafts.

I hope if you are reading these reviews and trying to decide were your next vacation will be, you will choose Tarryall River Ranch, you will not be dissapointed! Once again thank you Tesch Family and staff!!

We hope this letter finds all of you in good spirits and health as your season comes to an end. Our week with you was absolutely wonderful, surpassing all of our expectations, without exception.

The riding was great, complemented by the beautiful national forest land and other trails we rode. You fully met the primary reason for our vacation. The matching of riders and horses worked well, as did your staff’s attention to satisfying the riding desires, of individuals with a variety of skill levels. Attention to rider comfort and safety was pleasantly subtle.

Keeping your guests well fed quickly became an obvious goal of Tarryall. Breakfast and then the sound of the lunch and dinner bell were welcomed every day. Bridgett deserves accolades for her successful effort to provide meals that appealed to everyone. Good, solid home cooking that beats the heck out of any commercial restaurant – both quality and quantity. Fresh and healthy with the best baked goods we have had in a long time. We cannot, however, ignore the rib sticking breakfast ride and overnight ride meals that Kevin made from his own personal cookbook and style. Excellent.

At the end of each day we were able to retire to our “cabin”. It was a lot more than we expected. Rustic décor that was immaculately clean with plenty of hot water and the comfort of a front porch with chairs and swing we used to relax waiting for the dinner bell to ring. The fireplace, with wood provided, was a nice touch.

However, surpassing the riding, meals and lodging was the Tarryall family atmosphere. We realized Sunday night that you genuinely care about your guests when the whole Tesch family and staff joined and intermingled with us for dinner. The relaxed atmosphere was welcomed versus what could have been a sterile hello and “here we go for another week of guests” attitude. Sharing daily meals with you and your staff all week with the varied conversation, jokes and riddles was great. Your evening activities were fun and comfortable times at the end of the day. The western dancing night was most fun as your staff helped us learn the steps before setting us loose to tromp on each others toes. Your “honor” system at the office for purchases of miscellaneous items underscores your respect for your guests.

Thanks again for a wonderful week. Please feel free to pass our comments on to inquiring guests, as we would recommend your program without hesitation.

Message: Sept. 2006 Our vacation at Tarryall River Ranch was exceptional, it exceeded all of our expectations and provided us with wonderful memories not to be forgotten. The Tesch family and entire staff of the ranch were the very best. They worked long hours to provide their guests with the very best possible.They were always friendly, happy, and upbeat, you could tell they were glad to have you there at their ranch. The food was incredible. The always homemade breads, salads, entrees, and desserts kept us wanting more and looking forward to the next meal.The riding program was great, designed for any type of rider and ability. The rides were magnificent, every trail showed off the untouched beauty of the ranch and surroundings. At the end of the days we enjoyed wonderfully planned activities.  We enjoyed dancing, singing, hayrides and bonfires. We especially enjoyed the Ranch rodeo at the end of the week, this was a lot of fun and a highlight of the week. We would vacation here again. We HIGHLY recommend Tarryall River Ranch to all. The Tesch family are the ultimate host.

Message: August 2006 changed our whole perspective of relaxation & FUN! Firstly, this was our first Dude Ranch experience. We are busy with many things and life is never boring for us; but I sensed strongly that we needed another kind of time away.  I chose Tarryall mainly because of the 'family'. We never do 'big' things without knowing someone who's done it, but I knew this was right for us. Beautiful beyond description & an entire family that have devoted their lives to being servants -and friends...well you'll have a hard time finding this elsewhere. One of our first rememberances was that Cell phones, TV, Music (except for the Thursday nite Country Dancing !!) & loud noises were INSTANTLY replaced by knowing one another; by smells you won't find in a city..and the Horses! We fell in love. I had never been on one...we have since been back to CO on business and began taking riding lessons-beginning with the very basics (grooming, how to bridle, saddle, etc.) so next summer when we return to Tarryall we'll KNOW what we are doing!! If all goes well we will be bringing our 6 yr. old granddaughter! Thank you to all the family! p.s. now we are REALLY working to get these extra 10lbs. off from all the "gourmet" cooking! No complaints though!

Message: Our vacation to Tarryall River Ranch was more than we had dreamed of. From the horseback riding and fly fishing, to the delicious meals, we could not have chosen a more perfect location to spend our vacation. Even more impressive than the beautiful scenery, is the group of talented young people working on the ranch. They are absolutely the very best! It was very hard to say goodbye, but we will definitely be back... (We miss everyone already.)

Message: This vacation (May 2005) was my daughter's college graduation gift but lucky for us we were all able to share it! We had gone to other dude ranches when she was younger so we were not sure it this vacation would live up to her expectations. Well, let me just say it exceeded her expectations and ours. The friendliness of the staff, the quality of horses, the accomodations, the delicious food and the beauty of the area were everything that we wanted and more. Hats off to the Tesch's for raising such a fine family, hiring a great staff and for sharing their beautiful ranch with us. It was truly hard to leave and go back to be city folk again! Message: Our vacation to the Tarryall River Ranch exceeded our every expectation. The ranch, located in the beautiful Tarryall Mountains with its rocky peaks makes for a perfect backdrop for daily riding. We found our accommodations very comfortable, tastefully decorated, and delightfully rustic. It is truly a family affair at the Tarryall Ranch, and the Tesch's will warmly welcome you into theirs. Their service was outstanding in every area. From the country breakfasts, to the more elegantly prepared dinners,the food was simply delicious. The wranglers were very attentive, safety minded and cheerfully accommodating to allow stops for us to photograph the beautiful scenery. If you aren’t too tired and sore from riding, the evenings are filled with hayrides, sing alongs, and line dancing. The staff at the Tarryall Ranch was so enthusiastic, and just plain ol’ fun. We will always have great memories of our first visit to Tarryall, however it will not be our last.

Message: We experienced the most magnificent vacation at Tarryall River Ranch in the summer of 2003. My sister Mary and I fulfilled a life time dream of riding the range. I being a cowgirl from Florida and my sister a city slicker merged and became a welcome addition to the Tarryall experience. I would highly recommend this family run ranch to anyone with or without children. I found there wasn’t a single aspect of the ranch that didn’t meet our every needs. I was most impressed with the care of the horse’s and stable area. Each guest is given a mount suitable for their riding abilities. We left Tarryall with more than just memories, we came home with lifetime friends.
